The Righteousness: SanGuo has been out for nearly half a month now! I'm incredibly grateful for everyone’s attention, congratulations, and for the many teachers who helped with reviews and promotions – thank you so much!
With all your support, I’m even more determined to make the game more enjoyable. That’s why I’ve given the controls and action system a major upgrade – you could call it “Action System 2.0”! Without further ado, here’s a brief introduction to what’s new in this update:
Dodge System
Many friends mentioned that the game is too difficult, where you lose health as soon as you encounter enemies and there aren’t proper dodging mechanics. So, I’ve added a new dodge system – when dodging, your character becomes invincible for an instant, dashes a certain distance in the current direction, and leaves behind a cool afterimage effect!
However, dodging consumes stamina, and frequent use in a short period increases the consumption. Once the cooldown finishes, the consumption returns to normal, creating a balance between risk and reward.
Of course, later on, dodge performance will be further enhanced through treasures and passive upgrades, so I welcome all your feedback!

Charged Heavy Attack
In response to feedback about the limited attack options, I’ve added a charged heavy attack. After charging, it not only significantly boosts your attack power but also knocks enemies back, giving you more room to survive.
Of course, charging comes with risks, so how you balance risk and reward will depend on your play.
Future passive upgrades will continue to optimize this skill’s effects.

Grappling Hook Optimization
Simply put, the grappling hook is no longer limited by stamina.
In the third level, “Wo Long Cave”, players can acquire the grappling hook, which lets you explore more areas via hooks on the map.
Previously, the stamina cost made using the grappling hook feel cumbersome and unsatisfying. Now, you can hook as long as you want, explore freely, and have even more fun!

Feel Optimization
Although “feel” is a somewhat abstract term, it’s vital to the gaming experience! This time, I’ve adjusted — among other things — running speed, jump height, gravity, attack intervals, landing effects, and sound effects. Playing it myself, the game feels much smoother now, and I’ve also refined some animations. I look forward to more of your feedback!

Overall Optimization
This update features a major optimization of the main character’s code, with many redundant components removed. Additionally, there are improvements in sound effects, visual effects, and even some minor textures have been replaced. Overall, lower-end machines should theoretically run the game more smoothly. I hope these optimizations will provide a better gaming experience for everyone!
That’s all for this major upgrade to the action system. I hope you enjoy the game, and feel free to share your thoughts anytime!
Even though I’m still a novice indie game developer, I always stand on the players’ side – my main focus is listening to your feedback!
To borrow a quote from Mr. Satoru Iwata: “My business card is as a game developer, but my heart is that of a gamer!” I will continue to listen to your suggestions, so please keep them coming!
Also, with the Spring Promotion coming up soon, please come and try out The Righteousness: SanGuo then! Thank you, everyone!
