Thanks for joining us again for another dev diary.
Let's start with feedback from the chapter 1 rewrite which has been very positive. We are so glad you are all enjoying the rewrite so far. I was very nervous when we took the decision to go for a rewrite because I know how much you guys love new content and whilst this is technically new content, It's obviously not as exciting as some hot new lewd scenes. That being said, this game was my first ever plunge into the adult game sector and in the beginning I knew very little. We needed to bring the quality of the early parts of the game up to a better quality and also make some tweaks to the story plot to allow the story to grow into something even more exciting over the course of the coming chapters.
I'm so glad the decision to rewrite has paid off and you guys have been so great in helping to ease my worries with your spectacular positivity. Thank you so much.
Moving on to the next rewrite release, progress on chapter 2 is coming along really well. We have worked through about 3 scenes in the past week and a half with lots of render fixes and the entire dialogue for these scenes rewritten. We've also worked on the framing of the Lisa minigame. I don't want to give away too many details but this minigame is now framed much better so that our protagonist can progress much more fluidly into his battle with right and wrong. Don't worry, there's been no lewd content removed, it's just framed differently.
We also have a draft for another new story driven scene in chapter 2 with the dialogue written and a new male character created and ready to go. It's not a lewd scene but it's pivotal to the new story plot and will be the SECOND new scene in chapter 2 so far. We didn't add any new scenes to the chapter 1 rewrite as it wasn't needed but there will be a few of them in the chapter 2 and 3 rewrites as well as a restructure of the scene orders. We do plan on adding some extra lewd content too so keep your eyes peeled.
This will be my last Dev diary for a couple of weeks as I'm taking next week off to recharge with my family. We've been working non-stop for a few months now so a little break is necessary to ensure we can keep working at this pace.
