Hello once again.
Now that Chapter 3 has been out as a public release for a little over a week, I feel we have all had chance to digest it and overall I'm very pleased with the reception. It sounds as though people enjoyed the chapter and its contents. There is however 1 criticism that I want to follow up on.
Why isn't the chapter longer?
Okay, so I've seen this mentioned a few times and I take it entirely as a compliment. If people want more content then that's a good thing right? At the same time however...it makes me frustrated. Not frustrated at the people saying it, I actually fully respect and appreciate any feedback whether it's good or bad as long as people are polite in the way they convey it. It makes me frustrated that I alone cannot do much to resolve the problem. Most of you are probably already aware that this game is ENTIRELY worked on in my spare time. Adult visual novels rarely generate enough income to allow somebody to work on them full time. Most devs like myself have to sustain a full time job to keep a roof over their family's heads. I work 40 hours per week in my full time job and I also commit around 30 hours per week to this project. As you can imagine it's not practical or possible to throw any more time at it per week. I am however FULLY COMMITED to trying to resolve the issue. If I cannot resolve the problem alone, then I need the help of others right?
With the above in mind, I have started advertising for 2 roles. A writer and a 3d artist. Both roles would work alongside myself with a view to creating more of the high quality content you love. Before you get too excited however, I should add...
Hopefully it won't, but it may take some time before I find the right candidates. I obviously want to find the right individuals who suit the game. Combine that with the fact that AVNs generally don't pay well, require large time commitments and most experienced individuals are already working on other projects then this task may be tricky. It would also take some time and effort to integrate new members into the team. Anyway, the point I am trying to make is that it may take a little while before any increase in productivity is observed. I will of course keep you all updated on this front.
Moving on, I have been working hard to generate as much new content for chapter 4 as possible with scene 2 now completed and work has begun on scene 3. As previously mentioned, there will be multiple variants of this scene depending on previous choices. The scene sees us back at the apartment for our movie night with Annie. There will be 2 opportunities for lewd scenes here. If you have taken the exploitation path, there will be a time-stop minigame similar to the Lisa scene in chapter 2. If you aren't on the exploitation path (or you opt out of the time-stop scene) then there will be a lewd scene with Annie. Obviously the lewd components in this scene mean it may take a while to get this completed with lots of animations required. HERE is a sample image from the scene to wet your appetite.
