Dear Wayfarers,
It’s been a busy week for us here at Playable Worlds Basecamp, as we’ve celebrated the close of the Stars Reach Playtest!
With less than one week to go before our Early Access launch on August 18, 2026, we’re hard at work putting the final touches on our release build. We can’t wait to welcome you in next week!
A Galactic Thank You!
Our playtest has been so important to the development and evolution of Stars Reach. Those of you who have been with us along the way have had the opportunity to see art come into focus, systems evolve, and the deep physics simulation running underneath become more realistic. That is thanks to the thoughtful feedback and passion of our community.
THANK YOU! We are beyond grateful for helping us shape tomorrow!
Recapping The Final Playtest Community Events
Last weekend, we held two different community events to commemorate the final weekend of our playtest.
We asked you to join our Server Slam to test our servers, and make sure we’re as ready as possible for launch. You rose to the challenge, put our servers through their paces, and provided us with critical data that we’re using to tighten things up before launch on August 18!
We quite literally couldn’t have done this without you, and your participation will have direct, positive impact on how we launch next week!
We also held a “How to Homestead” event, to show players how they can claim land and manage it to ensure their corner of the galaxy stays just how they left it. If you missed the event but want to learn about homesteading, you can check out the video here.
Attention Content Creators! Our rewards program will resume at the start of Early Access!
If you’re a content creator, head on over to Creators.gg to apply for our creator program! Once you’re approved and begin streaming during Early Access, you’ll earn game keys for yourself and your community, in-game titles, official Stars Reach merchandise, and more! So please join us, and stream, post videos, earn, and get those rewards! If you are already part of the program but didn’t complete your rewards goals, fear not! Your progress is saved, and you’ll be able to resume starting on August 18 when we launch into Early Access. You’ll have until September 4, 2026.
Next Week…
Once we launch into Early Access on August 18, we’ll start sharing the full list of game updates and dive a bit deeper into the living roadmap. While you can always check that out on the Stars Reach website, we’ll highlight some of the upcoming features and refinements we’re most excited about.
And… that’s it! The playtest servers are closed. Early Access is mere days away.
We’re so excited to welcome the whole world to Stars Reach! We’ll see you among the stars!
