What can you expect in upcoming versions?
Here's the roadmap for SnakeByte 🐍 While V1.0 contains the base for playing the main game modes with up to four friends, my intention is to keep updating the game with new content, features and patches. Right now, I'm a one-person 'team', so please take the 'Expected Release' with a grain of salt.
Remember that when you've got feedback to make the game better, don't hesitate to post it to the Discussions area in Steam.
V1.1
Expected in April
- Full Controller Support (*1)
- Steam Stats
- Steam Achievements
- Steam Community Items (e.g. Trading Cards)
V1.2
Expected: end of Q2
- Challenges mode (single-player puzzle levels)
- Customizable snake 'skins' (👀) with unlockables
- Customizable game color pallets
- Accessibility options (e.g. color blind friendly mode, remappable controls)
- Play Battle Mode against the computer
V1.3
Expected: Q3
- Online multiplayer
- Customizable matches and lobbies
- Replay functionality
- Leaderboards
Other stuff
Expected somewhere between now and 2030
- Two very special versions of the game 🔒
Clarifying notes
*1: V1.0 supports a lot of controllers for 90% in the game, but that's not enough to mark the game with the 'Full Controller Support'
