After years of development, I’m finally within one year of release.
This devlog covers a huge milestone for the project: the entire story is now implemented in-game. All cinematics across the five acts are complete, bringing the total cinematic runtime to nearly four hours. It’s been an enormous undertaking and now for the first time, the finish line is in sight.
In this update I talk about:
• Finalizing the game’s story and cinematic implementation
• A massive overhaul to the save/load system
• New UI and HUD improvements
• Performance optimization plans for lower-end systems and Steam Deck
• Voice acting, music, subtitle syncing, and polish passes
• Marketing preparations, trailers, Steam page updates, festivals, and Next Fest
• The finalized key art and branding for the game
• Lessons learned from developing my previous title, The Companion
I also share a closer look at the road ahead over the next 12 months as development enters its final stretch.
Thank you for following this journey and supporting the game. We’re getting close.
