We’re back with our second public Devlog for Project Cappuccino 2. Christmas has eaten up some of our time this month but we’re doing our best to keep powering through work whenever we can.
For starters, we spent some time planning out our workload for 2023. Here is a new Road Map.

Rather than cramming everything under the sun into the road map, we decided to simplify it and only highlight what people might find the most interesting. This doesn’t necessarily mean that we’ll only be adding these things in a sprint, but rather that these will be the core elements that we’ll focus on. Anything else like boring back-end systems and QOL fixes won’t be mentioned on here and you’ll find those in the usual progress logs.
This Road Map will also be updated every 3 months or so and readjusted depending on how we move through the workload.
Rhythm Fixes
The rhythm game has been massively improved!

Major work was done and we now have more fine-tuned control over the hit window of notes. You’ll find that it’s much easier to actually hit them as there is a bit of lead room now as opposed to requiring perfect timing.
Some improvements have also been done to the visuals. The particles are a little more appealing now when notes are hit, and the game properly indicates when you miss a note by shaking the track and flashing red. Additionally, a small gap has been added between the note tracks to indicate which hand will play which notes.
Story Content
Yani & Charlotte’s chapter 1 is being worked on at the moment and it’s taking some intensive thought to weave the various plot threads that we have going on. Charlotte’s story will provide some background info on where Colette’s puppet curse originated, and her mother plays a vital role in the entire series. To top things off, Charlotte has the personality flip that we’ll need to take into account.

Yani's on the other hand is chaos to the max, as she only knows how to act like an animal.
The game’s intro sequences are almost finished and we’re only missing 2 CGs that Doku is currently working on.
Each character is receiving a small section where it’s shown how they received their invitation to the Succubus Throne tournament. In Yani's case, it shows how she got out of her prison.
Conversation History
A small QOL update was done that we were going to need to do eventually.
Players can now check what NPCs said to them and toggle the conversation history whenever they want.
That’s all we’ve got for now. Keep an eye out for our next public Devlog because we’ll likely be working on something pretty raunchy soon.
