Alright Strikers, you know what time it is!! It’s PATCH TIME!
Before we get started I’d like to shout out the Finii Plush that is now on sale! Get it before it’s too late!
Okay. Anyway!
Couple interesting balance changes today in this patch - new base speed tiers for strikers as forwards/midfield/goalies and stuff like that. I’m also working on a couple small tiny baby reworks to some awakenings if it’s possible for the future. I don’t even know if it actually is possible but hey you never know!
Also, shouts out to the 4 players who were randomly selected to help put this patch together!! They are Goomy, FudgyWaffles, SwiftDeity, and Hekuria/MrWolf.
Shouts out to them.
Alright let’s get started!
STRIKERS
Atlas
While you were out eating shrimp with the wimps, Atlas was feasting with the beasts in the goal arc. Small change to his primary and base speed should satiate his appetite.
- Base Stats
- Speed : 440 → 435
- Astral Projection [PRIMARY]
- Cooldown :: 8.5s → 9s
Drek’ar
Lower on the pick rate of tiers and only pretty good with a small subset of people, Drek could use a little lizard love.
- Xeno Cloak [SECONDARY]
- Cooldown :: 12s → 11s
Estelle
Speed tier adjustment
- Base Stats
- Speed :: 445→ 450
Finii
Finii is just kinda weak in pretty much every tier. Plus she’s getting a plush so I have to give her a faux mascot buff, right?
- Base Stats
- Speed :: 465 → 460
- Triple Take [SECONDARY]
- Damage Taken By Enemies buff :: 20 → 25%
Juliette
Speed tier adjustment
- Base Stats
- Speed :: 460 → 450
Juno
Jumping around all over the place and smashing red cores instantly in OT made Juno a little annoying to play against. This should tune her down a touch.
- Base Stats
- Speed :: 460 → 455
- Stagger Growth :: 450 → 375
Kai
Speed tier adjustment
- Base Stats
- Speed :: 465 → 460
Kazan
There’s a small slice of players that are really good with Kazan, but outside of that, he’s like really bad elsewhere. This change should affect those good players less than the rest.
- Base Stats
- Speed :: 440 → 445
- Power :: 90 → 95
Luna
Speed tier adjustment
- Base Stats
- Speed :: 460 → 455
Mako
Mako is a really good goalie in a lot of tiers, a weak forward everywhere. Tuning down her damage a touch to stop those across map million damage shots. She’s on my radar for a small rework if possible, but we’ll see how that goes.
- Perfect Pitch [PRIMARY]
- Projectile Damage / Knockback :: 105 + 52.5% ⇾ 103 + 51.5% power
Octavia
Speed tier adjustment
- Base Stats
- Speed :: 475 → 465
Rasmus
He was in a mostly good place but could just use a little bit of love.
- Whiplash [SECONDARY]
- Duration :: 2.25s → 2.5s
Rune
Speed tier adjustment
- Base Stats
- Speed :: 465→ 450
Vyce
Small tweak to Vyce. Her “damage” tool is doing less than her “movement” tool.
- Power Chord [PRIMARY]
- Damage / Knockback :: 175 + 87.5% → 180 + 90%
- Thunderstruck [SECONDARY]
- Cooldown :: 12s → 13s
X
Tiniest adjustment of all time to keep X from going too insane with new speeds.
- Base Stats
- Power :: 125 → 120
Zentaro
The standard is the standard.
- Base Stats
- Speed :: 460 → 450
- Oni’s Blade [SPECIAL]
- Cooldown :: 40s → 35s
MAPS AND MODES
I’m considering making map rotation a weekly thing, i.e. changing 1 map each week. Lmk if you like this idea.
Rotated In: Oni Village, Clarion Corp
Rotated Out: Taiko Temple, Night Market
AWAKENINGS
Rotated out:
- Hotshot
- Peak Performance
- Fight or Flight
- Demolitionist
- Explosive Entrance
- Catalyst
Rotated In:
- Chronoboost
- Reverberation
- Orb Replicator [BUFFED]
- Prize Fighter
- Recovery Drone
- Stinger
Among Titans
Kind of in line with speed adjustments of the rest of the patch.
- Speed buff: 15% → 12%
Stacks on Stacks
Kind of in line with speed adjustments of the rest of the patch.
- Stacks on hit: 6 → 5
Magnetized Soles
Mag Soles has easily been far and away the best forward gear. Also it was still giving 25% movement speed despite the tooltip saying 22%! My bad hehe. Mag Soles is on my radar for an adjustment as well. I was thinking of giving it an ICD so you can’t just straddle the midfield line for the speed boost.
- Duration :: 2s → 1.25s
- Speed: 25% → 21%
Monumentalist
Monu is doing pretty well on people with creations if you can believe it. Even Juliette had a 66% win rate with it. (sample size of like 3)
- Size :: 100% → 85%
Momentum Boots
Underperforming a bit compared to the other goalie gear.
- Time to max stacks :: 10s → 8s
- Speed per stack :: 1% → 1.25%
Orb Replicator
No other orb buff awakenings are in so let’s share the energy and health! Yay!
- Orb benefits shared to allies :: 50% → 75%
Strike Shot
Strike Shot is overperforming a bit compared to the other goalie gear. It’s also on my radar for a small rework. Perhaps making the strike shot projectile unaffected by projectile range increases or having it start on CD. Idk we’ll see
- Cooldown :: 9s → 11.5s
Perfect Form
Making Perfect Form a little less perfect.
- Cooldown reduction from normal hits :: 13.5% → 12%
- Cooldown reduction from light hits :: 4.5% → 4%
