Hi all!
As you know, Polyion's development has been rocky from day one, an initial release that I was not happy with and years of slow and procrastinated development. However over the next 1-2 months I will be releasing new test builds of the game onto the test branch, these builds will come in waves each week and will add new content and fix issues from previous builds right up until the game goes into full release.
This is THE final stretch.
The game took a new direction, but still retains some core game ideas and design from the previous builds, But this time it is expanded from just tiles and numbers. I will share more as new builds get released and videos and screenshots will be added to the store page as it gets closer to full release.
Screenshots do not showcase final visuals or gameplay.
The Future
Now to talk about the future of cntblnk and future games, for now and after full release Polyion will be my focus, but other games are in planning or early development. The plan over the next 2 years is to release 3-4 games which also includes Polyion. I will answer some questions below about cntblnk, Polyion and the future games mentioned above:
What is CNTBLNK?
CNTBLNK is the alias I go by when developing and releasing games, I hope to continue using it as my online branding and independent developer name.
When will Polyion go into full release?
Polyion will go into full release some time in Autumn of this year, there is no exact date, but that will be decided over the next month once marketing begins.
Will Polyion get post-launch content and support?
The plan is to continue updating Polyion with content and patches after launch, however, there is no set timeline for this.
Future games?
Polyion will go into full release this Autumn, after that there are 2-3 games currently in early planning stages that will go into development some time after Polyion releases. As these games are not currently in development, I can't share many details, but I will be sure to update you all as soon as I can.
Thanks,
Luke (cntblnk)
