Hello Monster Girl Lovers!
We're here with our first devlog of the year, sorry for the wait. We hope you all had a wonderful new year!
We'll be adding so much to the game in Update 5, we're so excited to get it done and release it to you all. Whilst we did take a break over the holidays to visit family, we've been tapping away relentlessly so that we can get this next update done.
We were originally hoping to get it out by the new year but things are taking a bit longer than expected in certain areas. We also decided to change one of the original planned characters, which is currently being re-designed.
We'll be adding 3 new monster girls in Update 5!
Will you be able to resist them all?
The main story will be continued from the Spooky Mansion, what secrets does it hold? What kind of monsters are lurking in the dark halls?
We have also continued work on the Cheat Room, Story Skips and monster recruitment should be (hopefully) fully functional upon release of Update 5!
With the extra time given to us whilst the new characters are being designed, we have also expanded other parts of the update beyond the original scope!
There has been a lot of feedback relating to lack of skills for certain characters and some players have specifically requested more skills focused on dealing "pleasure" type damage. We're pleased to announce we'll be adding 50+ new skills to the game with update 5! Many of them will be pleasure focused but we're adding a wide range of types. These skills will also come with a huge variety of newly added animations!
With these new skills will also come some new states to go with them, such as the "mounted" state, when a monster girl has jumped on top of you in an attempt to use your body. If you don't escape in time, it'll turn into a "sex" state and she'll begin to drain your life force with her sexual attacks!
We're also expanding upon improvised weapons. Until now, improvised weapons were simply cool or universal weapons that could be used by anyone. Now, with our new system, all improvised weapons will come with a unique skill attached to them. These skills can only be used when the weapon is equipped. However, with every battle you win, you'll earn AP points from your enemies. Using the AP points system, you can master the skill by using the weapon in battle and earning enough AP points. Once you've mastered the skill, you can use it without having the weapon equipped!
You'll see the available skill and the AP requirement to master it in the equipment window when you highlight the weapon.
On the back of this new AP system, we're adding a huge amount of new weapons, equipment and also other useful items.
There is also a lot of work going into sound effects for the H-Scenes. We are unsure whether we'll finish them in time to include them in the update but, Since the beginning we've wanted to improve them. We're working on implementing a huge number of new and varied sexual sound effects to expand upon the scenes. Well over 100 files of moaning, slapping and slurping! No more awkward silence and no more weird stock sound effects!
It goes without saying, there will also be numerous bugfixes. We've tackled a large number of longstanding and frustrating bugs such as recruiting not working correctly with a full party, typos, issues with some h-scenes and more!
We're so excited to continue this journey with you all through 2024. Thank you for joining us!
Catch you all soon,
MGGEDev
