The Bee Girls of the forest definitely seem happy!
Hello Everyone and happy Monday!
Our kickstarter campaign has been successful!
Sorry it took a little while for a celebratory post, we hope this post will outline everything which lies ahead. We've also included some development screenshots to view whilst you read.
Quick Note: Some of this update may be quite kickstarter specific but we wanted to share the news here too!
What this means is that we can now build a bigger and better game than we originally planned!
A big thank you to all those that have already supported us through itch and patreon!
First Of all:
Before we begin, thank you to each and every one of you that have made a pledge to our project or gone on to pre-order elsewhere. You have no idea how happy we are to receive your support and the interest that you have shown for our game. Thank you to those that stopped by to take a look as well!
Thanks to you, this game which was only an idea at first, is now turning into a reality.
We have seen the stats and it seems we have managed to reach our original funding goal and even beyond, we never expected such a great response!
We will do our absolute best to build a great game for you to enjoy and are putting in the work on a daily basis to get ready for the initial early access release.
Due to their sickness, the monster girls have become extremely aggressive!
Release Schedule and Current Status:
The initial early-access release is still on schedule to be ready as planned in early March. Outside of some kind of freak emergency, a playable build should be in your hands by then!
So far we have 10 Monster Girls implemented as we originally planned for in the first build. Hopefully we can exceed this number before the initial release, but it goes without saying that many more will be added in updates over time.
The initial release may not fully reflect the finished game, but we are extremely eager to show off what we have made so far and making every effort to provide a solid first experience.
What secrets of the the Holy Shrines around the world will you uncover?
Post-Release Update Plans:
We are aiming to release the first chapter of the main story to start with as a minimum. This will allow for a good stopping point to continue when the next chapter gets added and prevent things from getting too disjointed for those that want to play along as the game is developed.
It is also very important to us that we release enough content for you to have fun with so that things aren't too short.
Between major updates, such as a new chapter being added, tweaks, fixes and new content (such as new monster girls or challenges) will also be added to existing areas.
Build and mix your ideal party at the mysterious inn. Hang out with your allies and maybe more!
Backer Rewards:
As soon as the campaign is over, we will start reaching out via the kickstarter reward surveys to get the relevant information to start fulfilling backer rewards.
Game Fulfilment
All copies of the game will be fulfilled via Itch.io which also comes with a claimable steam key when you add it to your account. We feel this is the most ideal way to distribute but if there are any issues with this method for any of you, please let us know!
Name in Credits/In-Game
Name in the Credits rewards and Tombstone Rewards will be added as soon as we have heard back from you as to what name you want us to add.
CG Archive Access
We will add you to our google drive archive containing all current CGs. (This method makes it much easier for us to update it on the fly with newly made content). Again, please let us know if you are not okay with this and we can look into alternatives.
Help Design a Monster Girl Reward
Feel free to answer the survey with all the details of what concept you would like to go forward with. The easiest way for us to coordinate it would be over something like discord or through messages. We may need to discuss a little bit or make a few tweaks to make sure your monster girl concept will fit into the game but we'll try to figure it out as best we can. Once we have your overall concept or idea of your favourite monster girl we will let our artists do their amazing thing to bring her to life based on your description and then work on fitting her into the game.
Help may come from all kinds of strange places.
If there is anything we haven't covered or if you would like to know more, please don't hesitate to send us a message. We're always happy to talk!
Kind regards and signing off for now,
MGGEDev
