Shadow Bonds is a bit of an atypical prologue. It presents a side-story that touches on the various bonds the protagonist can have with the other characters, but... how did she reach that point?
Was she born with those powers? How did she become close with Sylas, Marané, Alpheon and Malec?
All these questions (and more) will be revealed in Sigh of the Abyss.
