Hi everyone!
Super excited to be back with another update for you all. One of the biggest points of feedback we have received since launch was the lack of ways to continue playing once the campaign ended, so this patch aims to address exactly that through the New Game+ mode.
New Game Plus:
You can now enter New Game+ on any save file that you've completed the game with!
In New Game+ you will get to embark on a new playthrough with the same family and characters.
The NG+ campaign will cont feature stronger enemies, larger party sizes and a chance for you to update your Starting Conditions. All relations and academy unlocks will be reset.
Multiple New Game+ playthroughs can be started with the same family. So don't be afraid to start multiple runs to experiment with different difficulties and modifiers.
Additive Presets:
We've added some presets that can be added on top of others to encourage different kinds of playthroughs while streamlining the starting conditions process! Like always you can still mix and match to build your own combinations. They are:
NG+ Suggestions - A set of suggested modifiers for New Game+ which introduces more variety early in the game.
Roguelike-like - A set of modifiers which rabidly speeds up the campaign and progression. Almost like a roguelike!
Randomizer - A set of modifiers which randomizes all of your academies and starting tools, to spice up future runs.
Chaos Gremlin - A set of modifiers for those of you who want more chaos and less control over your dice.
Content:
Added a new ability "Reckless Attack" designed by a community member who beat one of the devs in a bet.
Added a new modifier "Gamba Enjoyer" which disables the ability to gain re-rolls at the start of your turn.
Misc:
Due to popular demand, "Mute In Background" will now be a setting in the options menu. Defaulting to Off.
Bug Fixes:
Fix bug where Bloodlust could trigger on invulnerable units
Fix bug where game would softlock early in Act 3 if Aurelia was downed in the Alexi Confrontation
Fix bug where class title would not always show on jp/cn/kr translations
That is it for today folks! We do have a few more things cooking in the pipeline which we cannot wait to share more on soon.
