This is not a drill, folks. ASCENDANT has officially secured 3rd place in IndieDB’s ‘Players Choice: Best Upcoming Indies of 2024’ Awards! Out of nearly 70,000 games listed on the site, with close to 6,000 receiving nominations, we’ve emerged as the top FPS indie in the category, and we couldn’t be prouder. It feels like winning a marathon, except instead of running, we were just crying into keyboards and yelling “please, PLEASE, vote!” into the void.
And you know what? You heard us. You showed up. You voted. You shared screenshots. You did the damn thing! This isn’t just a win for us, it’s a win for the entire ASCENDANT community.
But, the journey doesn’t stop here. 2025 is going to be HUGE. We’ve got epic new plans, surprises in store, and maybe even fewer bugs (…maybe…probably). Stay with us, because this is just the beginning of something incredible. There’s one update being announced before the year wraps up, and it’s going to blow your goddam minds.
Thank you for being the absolute legends you are. You didn’t just vote, you made us feel like we’re part of something bigger. We’re ridiculously lucky to have you, and we’re charging into 2025 full of gratitude and, after that speech, a mouth full of vomit..
Now let’s celebrate like the chaotic indie heroes we are. Someone hand Jane a recorder, and prepare Riaan for the dance of his life - they’ve got promises to keep.
