Whoa, first devlog? We apologize for not providing updates here yet, but we’re going to try to commit to doing devlogs here more frequently!
To catch you up, we were recently featured in the Wholesome Direct 2022 and our teaser trailer premiered at the Shacknews E6 Indie Showcase! Psst…if you haven’t seen the trailer yet, please go check it out! You can find it on the Steam page or on Youtube!
We’re positively overwhelmed by the response from these showcases and we’re so excited to share more with you! But first, let’s introduce the team:
Jennifer
Hey, that’s me! 👋 I’m the founder of Janbeh Games and lead developer of Love, Ghostie. I previously worked as a software engineer in the gaming industry before making the leap to do my own indie game.
Bing
She recently joined the team and is taking over as art director. She previously worked in several art roles in the gaming industry. She has been doing an amazing job with polishing up the art style (for OPTIMAL cuteness) and is working on new animations (because the ones I did are bad. Like really bad 😂). But seriously, check out how cute this is:
Samantha
Samantha is a New Zealand-born Australian composer based in the United States. Her love for games led her into the game industry and loves working on cute, wholesome games such as Love, Ghostie! She also works in the music department for various films, TV shows, and video games such as Star Wars IX, Avengers: Endgame and Toy Story 4. She’s been doing an awesome job with the music so far and I get so excited every time she sends me a new track! She wrote the music for the trailer, so again *poke poke* go watch it if you haven’t yet!
Since I’m new to these devlogs, what kind of posts do YOU wanna see? I think some posts about deep dives into characters could be fun! Either way, if you want more frequent updates, you can also follow me on socials:
