We're hardly working on scripting the "Nomernoy" train, and today we'll tell you about the things we have already implemented and what we are working on now.
Driver's controller and acceleration system
We have already spoke about the global re-work of train controls in Metro Simulator 2, which gave us a possibility to create individual control systems. Oka got an optimized system, Russia got a re-worked system of acceleration with a new mechanism of driver's controller. Now, Nomernoy has got an individual mechanism - rheostat controller.
To be short, rheostat controller is a mechanism which allows the train to accelerate and brake fluently. It has 36 position for acceleration and 18 for braking. The higher the position, the more intensive the train accelerates or slows down.
Positions for accelerations serve two purposes depending on from which positions we switched it - making the train accelerate faster (when moving it up) and making it accelerate slower (when moving it down).
Decelerating works in two options - Bypass, when you need to manually move the rheostat controller between T-1 and T-1a states, and automatic in T-2 state, when rheostat controller automatically decelerates.
Pneumatic system
Pneumatics have an individual place in train's technical composition, but we haven't been able to implement them up to a recent time. But, when we decided to make Nomernoy, we decided to make it due to absolute necessity of this system in this train.
The main control of pneumatic train in Nomernoy train is the independent brakes 013 (КрМ) It has 7 positions to adjust braking force, with the last position being emergency brake. It's initialized by the uncoupling cap, and you won't be able to drive the train without it. Pneumatic system is connected to ARS (Automatic Speed Control System). If you drive past the red traffic light or start driving without allowing frequency without Vigilance pedal, brake system will be automatically set to Emergency position, and the train will stop.
We'll share more details about the development while we are working on the game. Don't forget to add the game to your wishlist in order not to skip other news about the game and its Early Access release in the first half of this year.
