As we have already mentioned in other devlogs, One Military Camp will feature several biomes with different characteristics that will test the player. In the demo we were introduced to the Forest and in this private beta we are pleased to announce the Desert.
Located in a desert area, this new camp has some peculiarities such as large rock structures that will interfere with construction. We cannot demolish them as this would require a huge amount of explosives.
An intelligence dossier tells us that Dragan is planning to use new gadgets and trickery to break our offensive, so those explosives to demolish the rocks would be a ticking time bomb against us.
The climate and environment is conducive to testing our new energy systems, so you can install both solar panels and windmills to generate energy without the need for fuel. Just make sure you have an alternative for when night falls or the wind stops blowing. Luckily, our researchers have developed powerful batteries to help you do just that.
On the other hand, the desert sand gets everywhere. We will need a lot of hands and a good maintenance staff to clean and maintain all the facilities. The maintenance staff will also be responsible for keeping each building's supplies in order, so that no soldier's training is stopped at any time. For this we have also arranged for air deliveries, so once we have the warehouses built, you don't have to worry about resources, the orders are automated.
The union representatives of the non-military personnel have asked us to accommodate them outside the barracks, so we have thought of special housing solutions for them. Accommodate them there or else their morale is likely to drop and their work will be diminished.
