Steam Next Fest is officially over and we want to thank everyone who wishlisted or tried our demo out! The community feedback we received on Steam and Discord was just amazing. You took so much time to provide very helpful feedback and we are super grateful for that. We read all of it and are working on improving the game based on it!
We reached the incredible wishlist milestone of over 4000 wishlists with your help. We cannot put in words how much that means to all of us!
The road ahead is simple: We focus on delivering the next key part of the game, which is the combat system into the hands of our community. We also want to get a reality check, if the combat mechanics we are working on are good or what feels off.
With respect to Demo #1 we are happy with the warm reception and we will leave it up even after Steam Next Fest is over that more people can try it out. With Demo #2 we will offer a selection menu to quickly test out the different demos.
In the near future we will push updates to Demo #1 that will fix the most annoying issue with it, namely the DX12 shader compilation stutter. This should resolve a lot of performance issues encountered by people.
Things we already fixed with released minor hot fixes for Demo #1 based on community feedback:
Added monitor display modes
Added toggle to enable and disable V-Sync
Added DLSS and FSR upscaling options
Ground dash has no cooldown anymore besides the time the dash execution itself
Reduced player jump input buffering to make jumps feel more responsive
We are hard at work to bring you Demo #2 to gather your insightful feedback again. Also, to fix fundamental performance issues for the game and add more requested setting options. The next minor update will include the following community requested fixes:
Removed Depth of Field (DoF) effect in the foreground of the player and it will only be used in the background now
Checkpoints restore all of player's life
Speed up of dialog text characters appearing in dialogs with NPCs
Please make sure to follow the store page to see the news when we launch new updates and content! Again, thank you so much for your support and feedback.
