- Added a new option in the game options menu called: "Starting Wave":
Now if you have beaten a wave of the game (every 8 levels when you destroy the final boss), you can choose in future games to start from the wave you have unlocked, instead of always having to do it from the beginning. (Keep in mind that if you start from any level that is not the first, you will not generate the QR for the online leaderboards).
In this way the game can be played both in a score chasing way, or trying to reach the highest possible level.
- Added some “antifarming” measures to avoid the farming “exploit” of the first version of the game:
Now in advanced levels if one of your rescue bases is attacked by a "walker" enemie, that base will stop giving bonuses for multiple saved slaves. Also, when you die from a "Time Out" the time with which you will resume the game will be less, and "Bonus Items" will no longer appear until you go to the next level.
With all this measures, online leaderboard will be more "fair" since it will not be possible to do "points farming" and in future competitions only the BEST Galacticon player will be able to win.
- The online leaderboards will now be categorized by year:
Each year a new leaderboard will start and the current year's one will be shown on the website by default (although those from past years can also be consulted).
- Now you will be able to unlock all the "extra content" of the game easily:
You can unlock this extra content reading the QR code that appear after a local highscore enter, and now, even if your score has been lower than that of a previous game, you will unlock a new “extra”. This way you can always get to see all the cheats and bonus material).
- Strobe flash effects have been kept to the minimum:
Some people sensitive to those effects have complained... so sorry! It won't happen again ;)
- Minor bug fixes.
