If you're one of those people who can't understand a good game without a good soundtrack, you have another reason not to pass up The Crown of Wu. And now, good fortune is on your side: you can now watch this piece of making of in which Álex Elósegui and Sergio Villa, members of Wild Cat Records, explain in detail how the soundtrack of The Crown of Wu was composed and produced
The Crown of Wu's score seeks to highlight the darkness that follows the main character of the game, Wu. In this way we have a mix of oriental tradition and urban sound that evolves with the character's arc and his tenebrous intimate psychology.
The experience of Wild Cat Records in the film industry was a source of good ideas that they presented to the development studio. They achieved a score with a narrative value that flows with the story. The traditional Chinese instruments, chosen by the producers, blend perfectly with the more technological elements of the world proposed by The Crown of Wu, where oriental legends merge with science fiction. And, above all, masterfully reinforce the mood of the game, so that you, gamer, can immerse yourself in this universe in an absolute way.
But why do we keep telling you about it when you can watch it in the documentary? More than twenty minutes of pure delight, where musicians and developers shake hands. Especially recommended for those who are interested in the videogame as a sum of arts.
Believe us. When you see this making off you will understand why you feel like a tank aiming at a bell tower when you play The Crown of Wu. It's the power of music, comrade.
