I have been working my way through all the Items and buildings in the game making sure that they have proper Icons, models, textures etc. Come Friday night I get to the windmill. Now the windmill was one of the first things I ever made in the game, and I have not done anything with it in quite some time; if it ain't broke don't fix. When thinking a about what I wanted for the windmill I realized that I had failed at one of the core ideas of the game. That is the blending of place-able voxels (blocks) and larger structures (buildings) within that voxel world. The primary reason it wasn't working was because every building was constrained to be a rectangular prism, the size of that prism could be freely defined such as a building being 3x3x4 or whatever. Because it was always a prism placed from its bottom center you just placed it on flat ground and never had to think about it, you just plopped it down and went on your merry way.
So with the windmill I decided to change that. I added the functionality that buildings could have a secondary bounds box that defined it. What this means for the windmill is that the "tower" that previously came with the windmill is now something you have to build yourself with blocks.
If you try and place the windmill directly on the ground it won't work.

You need to build up to be able to place it.

and of course the blades rotate.

Unfortunately a cylinder is not an easy shape to define so the blades take up the entire square but that may change in the future.
I also made something cool for fun and mobility.
