This was possibly the most time-consuming game mechanic I've ever developed. Today's devlog is all about the different types of turrets that Cloud Escape has to offer in its upcoming Tower Mode.
The game development work of “The Tower”, the new game mode (and map) of my indie game Cloud Escape, is coming to an end. The turrets, but especially their projectiles, were a very interesting challenge for me. Trajectory calculation, visualizing bullet trails, calculating impact points and so on. It was a lot of fun to develop the turrets and the corresponding game design. However, this task took me a lot of time!
⚠️ Announcement: I'm currently looking for more playtesters for Cloud Escape 2.0. If you have some experience in game testing, feel free to reach out to me via Discord. ⚠️
