Alpha Development
Alpha development focuses on enhancing performance, incorporating player feedback, and expanding core gameplay mechanics to refine and improve the overall gameplay experience. We’re excited to take this next step with our community and continue shaping the game together.
Performance Improvements
During our demo, we received so much incredibly valuable feedback on the game, especially regarding performance and optimisation. We want you to know that we’ve heard your concerns and are actively working on solutions:
Performance Fixes
We are currently working on a significant patch aimed at addressing the bulk of issues we have identified, including:
- optimising the new landscape, which was introduced in Patch 0.2.8
- improving the way in which Metahuman details are handled
- resolving issues surrounding Nanite, which we believe have been causing a bottleneck
Updating Minimum Specs
We will also be updating our minimum specifications to better reflect the hardware needed to play the game at this time; as always, these will be subject to change over time, and we will endeavour to ensure the lowest possible minimum specs for full release. These new specifications will include recommended texture quality settings and the expected FPS players should be seeing. We hope this provides a better understanding of the game's current performance capabilities.
Automatic Quality Settings
To help every player achieve the expected performance for their specifications, we have implemented code that automatically detects your machine's hardware and applies the recommended quality settings. While you can override these settings in some cases, we highly recommend using auto-detection to allow for optimal gameplay.
GeForce NOW Partnership
We are excited to officially announce that we partnered with NVIDIA to bring Skye: The Misty Isle to GeForce NOW. This will allow players to stream the game using NVIDIA’s cloud servers, allowing players, even on lower-spec machines, to play the game smoothly.

Community Feedback
Your feedback is crucial to us. We want to ensure that every player is fully informed throughout all stages of our development and is able to share their feedback and experiences. We are committed to transparency and want to ensure that all players are happy with the game in its currently available state before making the decision to purchase.
Demo Availability
To achieve this, we have decided to keep our demo live for the foreseeable Early Access period. The demo will be updated with the most stable version of the base game and will include performance, optimisation, and quality-of-life updates as they become available. While the playable area in the demo will not expand, this will allow players to track our progress through development and personally experience the game for free before deciding to buy the game.
Your Feedback Matters
We understand the challenges of entering public access at such an early stage in development. However, as a small, self-publishing team of only five, community feedback is vital to helping us make the game the best it can possibly be. We will continue to post regular updates documenting our progress, and we want everyone to have access to this journey without financial commitment.
