Greetings Víkingar!
Welcome to the Pre-Alpha Update! Here, we bring you with us on our journey as we venture from the lands of Norway, across the perilous seas to the newfound lands!
We will be opening our Pre-Alpha on 24/02/23, join our Discord to find out more!
The Pledge
Our mighty Æsir have pledged themselves to the raiding party of Einar Ericsson and his plans to venture westwards from his clan home in Norway!
We ask that our fellow Víkingar burn their lamps bright and pay their tributes well, the Æsir will need all the fortune they can muster as they begin preparations for their journey west!
The Plan
"An opportunity has arisen, a boat; heading for the isles in the west. My father’s path. Mother insists he is dead, it pains her every time she must remind me. Yet that feeling inside has never ebbed.
He’s out there, somewhere, and now is my chance. Am I chasing Eikþyrnir as he did, or is the great stag of Valhalla leading me to my destiny?"
The Journey
"We’ve been sailing for what seems like forever but every wave looks the same. Where is this land we’re headed for? Will we ever reach it?"
The Peril
"Over a week at sea, nothing but dark clouds roared above us. For days this storm has raged with lightning tearing the sky apart - have we angered the gods?
Arkin claims we sail through Skotlandsfjörð, but the sea around us looks no different than the lands we have just left. The air is cold, and the wind stings my skin as the beating waves around us raise the boat high into the air.
We’ve lost two men already to the stormy waters below; how many more will it claim before we reach land? I fear no one watches over our journey into the west."
Skål,
