# Massive Freeland Update – Castle Expansion, Combat Improvements & Performance Boosts
We're excited to release another major Freeland update packed with new content, combat balancing, visual improvements, and significant performance optimizations!
## 🏰 Freeland Castle Expansion (In Development)
The Freeland Castle continues to grow!
This update introduces the **first 10 Castle Floors**, each featuring unique environments, new puzzles, challenging bosses, and brand-new orchestral music. This is the beginning of a much larger adventure, and we can't wait to hear your feedback as development continues.
New in the Castle:
* 10 new floors to explore and test.
* Unique boss encounters.
* New puzzle mechanics.
* Brand-new orchestral soundtrack across many floors.
* A new high-level bow available as a rare drop.
## ⚔️ Combat Improvements
Combat has received a significant balance pass.
* Massively increased Melee damage.
* Massively increased Bow damage.
* Massively increased Gun damage.
* High-level bosses now have substantially more health, creating longer and more rewarding encounters.
## ✨ Visual Improvements
Many spells have been visually updated so their appearance better matches their names and abilities, making combat feel more immersive and easier to read.
## 🎁 Loot Changes
* Increased the drop rate of the **Sword Fusion Shard**.
## 🚀 Performance Improvements
Performance continues to be one of our highest priorities.
This update introduces a brand-new optimization system that allows distant enemies to transform into simple egg representations, dramatically reducing rendering costs during large battles. This feature can be enabled or disabled in the Graphics Settings depending on your preference.
We've also improved the **Particle Disable** option, offering an even larger performance boost for players who want maximum frame rates during intense combat.
