Hello everyone!
We have received a lot of feedback in the past few days and we are grateful to everyone for their thoughts, insights and compliments to our game.
Definitely, the major complaint of players has been the game's difficulty, which would often make it really hard to get past even the first few levels. We believe this problem was not due to an intrinsic flaw in the game mechanics or design, but rather to the almost complete lack of presentation of the game's core mechanics and techniques ― and we admit it was a mistake, so sorry about that. That's why the major focus of this update is to guide the player through the main mechanics and strategies to solve the level challenges, while not simply giving the game away ― after all, this not only a platformer, it is a puzzle game too, and the player should always feel that they are facing a true challenge. So, to accomplish that, we have added 7 tutorial levels plus an optional hint at each of the 30 main levels, and we believe this will now make it possible for anyone to beat any level, as long as they are willing to spend some time putting their mind to problem-solving ;)
As for the visuals part, we added post-processing and some lights to the background ― you will now see a brighter sun and some blue lights on the buildings' water reflection. Also, Ricy (the game's character) got a cool visual effect when he teleports. We hope this makes the game even more enjoyable to everyone!
Lastly, we will also open up two community posts for discussions: a Feedbacks post and a Bug Reports post ― we'll be really happy to hear out what you have to say about the updated version of the game! Please, feel free to post critiques, suggestions, experiences and compliments in the Feedbacks post, and reports of bugs or anything you think is not functioning as expected in the Bug Reports post.
If you are struggling at level 1, please start a new game through the level selector on level T.1
