Greetings intrepid adventurers into the underworld of Arloria!
Today we are happy to present the Death and Destruction Update for Mythrealm.
The update is named thus because the players can now explore two new dark and deadly dungeons beneath city of Brighthelm:
- The Unhallowed Mausoleum: Beneath the Church of Brighthelm the undead are rising from the depths. Delve into a labyrinthine crypt to smash the undead and their leaders.
- The Orcish Undercity: In the mountains near Brighthelm the Orcs and Goblins are building an army to invade the city. Explore the Orc City and confront the Two Headed Ogre King.
This is the second major update to Mythrealm since Early Access, as our small team works to advance the game in Early Access and work towards Full Release in Q1 2027.
This update includes lots more content, 2 new large game levels, new items, monsters, general gameplay improvements and bug fixes!
Check out some Screenshots of the new Content:

The Death and Destruction update also includes tons of extra Player Character Content, Gameplay Updates and Bug Fixes. The new Gameplay Content and Improvements are as follows:
New Content:
- New Dungeon: The Orcish Undercity is now accessible from the Brighthelm hills.
- New Dungeon: The Unhallowed Mausoleum is now accessible from the Church of the Angelic Host in Brighthelm.
- New NPC in Brighthelm: Zadok The Priest (Name is intentional, hehe) welcomes you to the Church.
- New Item Type: Mage Orbs - a new Off Hand item type has been added to the game to aid the use of magic and also additional 1 handed weapon playstyles.
- New Armour: Ranger Armour focused on archery combat has been added.
- New Weapon: Voulge - a heavier type of axe!
- New Artifact Bow: Bow of the Manticore!
- The Church in Brighthelm now has an interior and is accessible.
- New Named items!
- New Boss Enemies!
Gameplay Improvements:
- A Keys Inventory tab has been added to the Inventory Page to help loot organisation. Keys are now automatically placed in the Keys Tab of the inventory.
- Magic Attack animations have received an update. Previously there was only 1 Wand Basic attack anim. Now the Wand fires in a 3 animation attack chain. This makes wand combat more fun and slightly increases Wand DPS due to a Rate of Fire increase.
- Arrows now sometimes stick in enemies and also in environments. When an enemy dies, they drop all stuck arrows to be easily collected.
- The bow string of the player bow now correctly aligns with the Character hand.
Bug Fixes:
- The bow string no longer gets occassionally stuck as drawn when the player is not aiming. - The Camera Sensitivity Settings now save correctly and persist through Level Loads / Game restarts as intended.
- The FPS Counter no longer displays on start up and the Show FPS Toggle functions properly. - Missing Walls and ceilings have been corrected.
- Collision on many environment assets has been corrected.
- The notorious White Cube at the top of the falling crate in Level 1 is no longer visible (Its still there, you just can't see it, lol) :P
And many more game improvements and fixes!
This new update is delivered free to all players who have purchased the game in Early Access.
So get your holy weapons to fight the Undead and armour up to fight the Orcs!
We very much hope you all enjoy your new adventures in the Mythrealm!
Happy questing!
