Hi everyone!
We wanted to share some news about the Summer Update as well as other features you've been asking for since launch 🎉
We originally thought we could launch the Summer Update this week, but due to the etxra features it's taking a bit longer. The Summer Update will now launch end of November, between the 25th-27th.
What's part of the Summer Update you ask? It's a lot of new content!
The Story will continue with 3 more friendship levels per character! (adding another 10-14h of gameplay)
A new character will move into town!
The season will change to summer, with lots of new summer plants and mushrooms and also new "skins" of existing plants (surprise: they get flowers in summer!)
You will get access to a large new area: a Lake with many beautiful spots to discover!
You'll get a paddle board to move around the lake!
You'll get new outfits made with natural dyes of the plants you collect!
We're also improving the base game, so we've been working on two important issues that the community has expressed to us since launch:
BULK COOKING!

Yes we finally did it! The moment our programmer got back from holiday he implemented this, so thank you all for waiting patiently! Once the summer update drops, you will be able to bulk cook meals easily.
Reduced coin dependency in the store and community projects!

We know the first early access version had a strong dependency on coins. Thank you all who lived through these hard times! Thanks to your feedback we were able to improve the game and introduce multi-currency for the store and community projects!
This means many items and projects won't focus as much coin anymore, instead they will ask for Curiosity Points, Town Treasury, a number of unlocked Field Guide Cards, friendship levels, quest progression and even plants parts!
We're not saying everything is perfectly balanced now, since we need to figure this out and fine-tune it over the course of the Early Access, but this feature solves the big coin problem that many players had so we hope you like it! As always, if you have ideas, share them in the comments.
More uses for cooked items!
Something we haven't started yet but will hopefully be part of the summer update launch (or a patch shortly after) are Honesty Stalls. These stalls can be found at campsites, allowing you to passivly sell a few items over a period of time. If you don't know the concept of Honesty Stalls, here's a real life example:
(All rights to this image belong to "The Local Yum")
We thought this wholesome way of selling would fit the game perfectly and also give players more use for cooked items, instead of just the market. Let us know if you have some fun ideas for these! Should they be upgradable? How many items should you be able to sell (without breaking the economy)? Let us know! 😁
And to finish off, here is a sneak peek of the new area that awaits you!

Have a great day everyone!
Elena
