Hey, how's everything going?
We, Evil Geometry, salute you and thank you in advance for taking the time to read our announcement.
First, we want to start by expressing our enthusiasm for having our game here on Steam, for some it could be normal or even insignificant, but for us, due to the effort we are investing in development, it is a great milestone, the whole team is It thrills every time we enter the launcher and see the game, it's crazy!
Now, it is the first time that we are having access to the resources that Valve offers for developers, so we are investigating, reading the documentation and going through the development forums to have a better understanding with the platform, please be patient, that's why we post this ad to this day. -_-
Anyway, the WCC (Wrestling Cardboard Championship) is a game inspired by the wrestling of Mexico, USA and Japan, it is an extremely beloved spectacle sport that awakens many emotions, but the premise is that you control cardboard boxes, if you You're asking, yes, the inspiration came from a well-known cartoon of a yellow sponge. You will fight in different scenarios known worldwide for wrestling, which we have reinterpreted so that everything fits with the atmosphere of the game.
Box Square Garden
The game makes use of physics for the gameplay and the contact between the boxes, generating different types of completely random situations, making each fight different and varied. There will be several game modes, starting with local multiplayer for up to 4 players, team fights, 1 vs 1, all vs all or handicap. It has this section for you to have a good time with your friends or family. We have not contemplated that it be online, due to infrastructure and workforce issues, what we are considering is the use of remote play offered by Steam, but, as we already mentioned, we need to check the documentation to see how to implement it.
If your thing is not to play in multiplayer, do not worry, there is career mode, where you will discover the history of the Normal Box and why it decided to change its life towards wrestling being already a box in the last moments of its useful life, as the WCC gives you the opportunity to show your talents it is never too late to follow your dreams. There will also be other game modes to pass the time and find out more about wrestling.
Finally we want to talk about the protagonists, cardboard boxes! For the base game we have 12 playable characters contemplated, they are inspired by recognized brands and we have given them a different look to parody them, also, there are boxes inspired by professional fighters, it will be your job to look for the references ;)
Due to the fact of being wrestling, it does not mean that the boxes will be able to execute complex maneuvers, this because ... they are cardboard boxes, so they are only limited to making throws, pushes, blows with the flaps, etc. Of course, each box has a varied set of movements and its finisher, oh, the finisher, is unique for each box and they have very crazy and defined effects and camera movements.
Well, this is already very long, there will be time to show progress and write about more features about the game, we hope you like it and do not forget to add it to your wish list and tell your family, friends, strangers and fans of the wrestling that the WCC is on Steam.
