Hi All,
Thanks for taking a moment to look at our upcoming game, Figurine Scene Simulator. We've recently released our initial starting point Demo and plan to expose our feature development by releasing regular demo updates.
A quick back note - we had quite a few features nearing completion running up to getting our demo ready for Next Fest when we ran into GPU texture memory issues trying to create a Unity game with very large sets of high definition characters. The finding required a 6-8 week refactoring process to the figurine system to use Unity's bundle system to give the game the ability to control when to load and unload textures, etc.
Anyway, If all goes well, now that the re-architecture is completed, ideally the rest of the features will be able to be onboarded fairly easily over the next few weeks and new demo releases will expose those updates. (The demo currently has a large size to provide a broad set of characters, the download which will probably churn during this phase of development, please wait until launch if you'd like a more stable experience).
Our upcoming demo update plan includes:
- LUTs and Picture Frames
- Adjustable Character Lighting / Pedestal
- Character Props
- Character Components
- Scene/Prop FX
- Additional post processing
After that, we'll focus on the final release features including:
- Locking in the release characters (If there's interest, we could put out a "beta" early access release to make the game available with most of the the launch day characters)
- Adding the figurine -> character save system
- Game Settings
- Break up bundle install to be user controlled by selecting from individual (free) DLC through the game.
At this point, there will be a feature freeze and only bugs will be resolved until the game's Early Access launch.
Please hit up discussions if you have any questions or feedback, thanks!
