Hey mercenaries,
We kicked off September with a trip to Guadalajara for Pixelatl 2022, a summit about the animation, comics, and video game industries and featuring a gaming section with local Mexican indie game devs including us! Here’s a recap of our time at the convention, and to start with photo evidence of a certain friendly neighbourhood web-slinger enjoying Remnants of the Rift:

Like Fatima, we also shook off the cobwebs — the cobwebs of going to an event! Pixelatl was our first convention in a while, and it was so, so nice seeing so many folks play and react to our upcoming game’s demo in real life. Sure, we like your emojis and comments on social media, but it’s hard to beat when a cosplayer shows up and plays your game :)
Aside from showcasing our demo, we also gave away some sweet swag for Remnants of the Rift such as stickers and cards. Take a gander below!
Finally, we also were delightfully surprised to win the “Mejor Juego del Showroom Pixelatl” or the Pixelatl 2022 Game of VMX Showroom! Amongst all the games selected for the exhibition, the jury deemed Remnants of the Rift as the winner of the show! We were very honoured to receive this award, and happy to add it to our Steam page soon enough.
