We got another dimension-crossing transmission beaming onto your screens as we take a deeper dive into our newest character, Rheem! Who is he? What does he want with Morgan? And, most importantly, where did he find the inner strength to rock his mullet? Take a journey into The Bast today with us and learn more about Remnant of the Rift’s newest mercenary on the scene.
Rheem is a mercenary like Morgan, but without Morgan’s dazzling skills and a lack of Prana affinity which helps them with their abilities. While he struggles in his contracts because of these shortcomings, he does have one huge advantage over Morgan: his gift of gab. A librarian’s worst nightmare, Rheem has no qualm when it comes to sharing his thoughts.
So, what does this fast-talking merc want with Morgan? Well, they’re an Arms Dealer — literally! You encounter Rheem in The Bast the same way as Juno or the Twins after clearing a stage. At his “store”, you'll be able to switch all of your Mods in one of your Skills, kind of like a gamble in which you might get a better or worse loadout from what you were obtaining in the run. Don’t love your current Mods for your Prana Shot or Mine skill? Why not see what Rheem has up his sleeves 👀
We debuted Rheem in our stream last week where our Art Director, Colette, worked on his model which include painting over his nail, too! Gotta be glam if you want to be in our roguelike!
