New Features and Improvements! - v0.0.3
Dear players,
We are thrilled to announce the latest features and fixes for QANGA v0.0.3. This update marks a big step forward in the game's development, with exciting features and significant improvements. Here's what you can expect:
🚀 New Features and Improvements
🏗️ Construction Activation (Phase 1 - Experimental Mode)
- Basic Construction (Experimental): We are enabling the first phase of construction integration to massively test the number of objects placed in your worlds. For now, you can create very large structures without consuming any resources. This version is still incomplete, and there are likely many bugs. Note: This feature is considered experimental.
- How to Activate Construction: Press "B" to enter construction mode. Use "N" to place your "builder object," which allows you to claim the construction area. Press CapsLock to access the menu of available objects.
- Snap Limitation: Object snapping can be tricky in certain situations. We are already working on improving this feature.
🛡️ Improved Safezones Around Refuel Towers
- Refuel Towers Safezones: You can no longer die in a ship due to other players within the safezone of a Refuel Tower. This improvement aims to protect players near Refuel Towers and prevent abuse or griefing situations.
🔫 New PVE Mode for Custom Servers (Experimental)
- PVE Mode for Custom Servers: Custom server administrators can now easily configure their server for PVE or PVP mode. This PVE mode allows players to explore the universe without the constant threat of player battles, but this feature is still experimental. We encourage players to test this option and provide feedback!
🚀 Multi-Targeting in Ship Combat
- Multiple Target Selection: You can now change targets by clicking the scroll wheel during combat. Additionally, by holding the scroll wheel down, you disable auto-targeting and fire the rocket straight without auto-locking. This new feature adds a strategic layer to combat!
⚙️ Technical Optimizations and Fixes
- Terminal and Fuel Fixes: Several fixes have been applied to improve terminal management and fuel tanks.
- Ship HUD Improvement: The FPS view HUD now displays rotation degrees on the ruler for better precision.
- Increased Ship Fuel Tanks: The fuel tank capacity of ships has been doubled, offering more autonomy for your travels.
- Sanglines Speed and Jump Fixes: The speed and random jumps of basic Sanglines have been reduced to balance ground combat.
- Massive Collision Fixes: Numerous fixes have been made to various mesh collisions to improve fluidity in movement and interactions.
- Code Cleanups and Optimizations: Inventory, character, and player controller have been optimized for a more stable experience.
- Linux Server in the USA: A new Linux server located in the USA has been installed to improve the experience for North American players.
- Ship Gravity and Rotation Fixes: Several fixes related to ship rotation and gravity have been applied.
🐞 Known Bugs
- SingleStorm Performance Issues: The SingleStorm ship has significant performance issues. We recommend avoiding it for now. We are working on a fix that will be deployed in the next update. However, we left it active so you can still test it at your own risk!
- Construction Bug: The first snap of the platform to the ground does not work correctly. To work around this bug, you need to switch objects and then return to the platform to unlock the snap. We are also working on this issue.
- Respawn Time After Death: In rare cases, your character may take some time to respawn after death. We are currently addressing this problem.
- Mini-Map Issue: After the update, the mini-map may stop functioning. You must restart the game to get it working properly again. We are working on a fix.
