The Zone Reveals Her Chronicles
The Zone — not just a desolate landscape, whose real-world counterpart lies in the middle of Ukraine. It is a vast and living relic that means so much to so many. It symbolizes a near-post-apocalyptic reality, human error, and at the same time — the beauty and resilience of wild nature, and such human search for meaning amid chaos and desolation.
We strived to bring this symbol to life in every detail of our game: in abandoned villages and rusting facilities, in inexplicable anomalies and ever-present tension, where lives and destinies are at stake. Throughout all the places in the world, there is only one that could become such a fitting setting for the Journey.
Now, together with Dark Horse Books, we are proud to share a new way to step inside this world — through The Art of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
A Closer Look
One of the most precious gifts any stalker can uncover is the secrets the Zone conceals — and this book gathers those discoveries into one collection. Take a first look at select pages and close-up shots from the book — glimpses of the locations, designs, horrors and wonders born from the heart of the Zone.
The Art of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl reveals how the game's world came to life, tracing its evolution from concept to reality. Within its pages, you’ll find exclusive materials, early visual explorations, and reflections from the team that shaped this universe — with insights and unseen details you’ll find nowhere else.
Lore, that the Zone hides so perilously. To gather these findings and give them form — that has been the mission of countless expeditions into its every region, facing all the dangers and discoveries a stalker can ever get. And now, it’s available to the public for the first time.
