Hello everyone!
Welcome to our next Developer Update. This month, we’re inviting you to check out Exploders, Monoliths & Tastes of Arcadia-7 in our blog post.
In case you missed it, at the very beginning of this month, we shared an extensive video reel showcasing the beauty and wonder, as well as the mysteries and dangers, of the planet Arcadia-7 in action.
We’re super stoked about the feedback you’re sharing with us. It was a real pleasure reading your comments about the game. And be assured, we’re not stopping there! We’re working hard to deliver the game to you this very Autumn, so come and see what we’re preparing for you.
Okay, okay - it was just our April Fool’s prank that we did to make that special day a little bit more joyful. Green Hell crossover is not confirmed - sorry! But if you’d like to see what our take on April Fool’s in the world of Green Hell - check out this post.
You may have noticed on our social media some mysterious monoliths placed in various locations across our planet.
What is their purpose?
Why are they placed in so many different areas and biomes?
Maybe you’ve wondered what’s the secret behind them? Share with us your guesses, there are no wrong answers! (or… we’ll be the judges of that ;))
Those “Exploders”, as we like to call them internally, are one of the types of enemies you will encounter when exploring the world of StarRupture.
When you catch a glance of them, stay vigilant! They are very fast and determined, and will use all their leg power to scurry down to you just to reach enough distance to pump up their ulceration, burst it, and spray you with an unknown blue substance. And yes, this will hurt. And yes, it will get to your eyes. And yes, the rest of the monsters will be extra enraged at you.
We’ve had so much fun while designing these little nasty creatures - and we won’t say that you will have fun while dealing with their attacks, but getting rid of them definitely will be a satisfying experience. Pop, pop, pop…
Check them out in action in our little video:
Going on an adventure and protecting your factory is not an easy task, especially when everything needs to be done at the same time. You can try leaving the base by itself with a sturdy collection of defense turrets, but how about some personal gear? In StarRupture, you will be able to select a variety of guns and upgrade them with a selection of mods to match your gamestyle.
Do you have your “always-favorite” weapon in games? Let us know in the comments!
Arcadia-7, the rich in resources planet, is also filled with various edible fruits of nature - their effects will be a crucial element within the survival aspect of the game.
All be tasty, nutritious, and energy refilling? Or maybe some of them may make your tummy… or brain hurt? Before you will be able to find and try the consumables in StarRupture, feast your eyes on the images below.
And that’s all for our StarRupture Developer Update in May - we hope you’ve enjoyed the never-before-seen content and that you’re hungry for more!
Stay tuned for our fresh & exciting updates on socials and right here on Steam as well, as we’re on our road to the Autumn 2025 Early Access launch.
Until next time,
Creepy Jar Team
