Hello everyone! It's Kaleb here, the lead developer of Maguntsche: Chapter One Remastered! As some of you eagerly await the upcoming Further Descent update, I thought it was important for myself and the team involved with this game to provide some transparency regarding our intentions moving forward into the future. Below we've put together a development roadmap highlighting all of the important information for Maguntsche Remastered over the course of the next year.
Initial Release
We're past this, but its important to note our game's initial launch going forward. We quietly released Maguntsche: Chapter One Remastered here on Steam on June 22, 2021!
Quality of Life Improvements (June - July 2021)
After the game's initial launch, we took a lot of the feedback from players and incorporated it into smaller updates that added additional features and fixes to improve the overall user experience.
Further Descent Update (August 2021)
Later this month, we are releasing our first content update to the game. This update focuses on some general improvements to overall gameplay which includes new flashlight mechanics, level variation, graphical improvements, new achievements, and additional quality of life improvements.
Further Descent Hotfixes (September 2021)
Since the timeframe between our scheduled content updates are smaller, there will only be hotfixes for any of the game's bugs or glitches. These updates do not have a set schedule and will be released if/as problems arise.
Superior Mode Update (October 2021)
Not only will we be celebrating the third anniversary of the original game's release, a new game mode will be added this Fall allowing for further replay-ability. You can also expect some new achievements and features with this update.
Superior Mode Hotfixes (November 2021 - February 2022)
Again, this time period will be reserved for small fixes and updates focusing on tackling any problems that arise after the Fall update. This extended time will also allow us to plan additional content updates.
Additional Content Update (March 2022)
We do not have any details regarding this update at this time. Similar to other content updates, you can expect new features and improvements.
Quality of Life Improvements (April 2022)
After the majority of our content updates are released, we will dedicate more time to improve quality of life before the game's final update. This will mainly incorporate any user feedback we collect in months prior.
Final Content Update (June 2022)
To celebrate the game's first anniversary, another content update will be released with new features and improvements. We do not have any details regarding this update right now. After the final update, we plan on providing hotfixes for the game's most glaring issues.
We are extremely proud to announce our continued support and dedication towards the future of Maguntsche: Chapter One Remastered! As with any of our announcements, feedback and criticism is highly recommended. We'd love to hear what players think about these future updates and what they'd like to see added or improved upon in the future! We are still working on the Further Descent update and are looking to announce the release date soon! For now, stay tuned!
Best Regards,
Kaleb Wassa (GlassDev)
