Looking Back on the Demo
First of all, we want to give a huge thank you to the Hell is Us community!
After 5 years of development, it was truly special to finally see our game— even if just a small slice of it— in the hands of players. Excitement was at its peak within the walls of Rogue Factor: seeing the first online reactions, watching streamers and their audiences enjoy the experience— it reminded us why we do what we do!
Thanks to you—players and content creators—Hell is Us made it into the Top 50 most played demos during Steam Next Fest!
Many of you played, and many of you shared your feedback with us, whether here on Steam, on our Discord server, or elsewhere.
We hear you, and we’re taking your comments seriously as we continue to improve the Hell is Us experience leading up to launch.
Now, you’re part of the journey as we enter the final sprint toward September 4th, when you’ll be able to continue Rémi’s odyssey on PC, PS5, or Xbox Series.
Hell is Us is GOLD
We’re also excited to announce that Hell is Us has gone GOLD! This means all technical certifications have been passed on consoles. Essentially, version 1.0 of the game is complete. It’s a major milestone for the team, and we’re incredibly proud!
Looking Back on the Through the Lens of War Event

What’s Next?
A lot of you are asking: Where’s the console demo?
No, we haven’t forgotten about console players. In fact, the team is working hard on it right now. We can’t promise or announce anything just yet—stay tuned!
That’s all for now, Hadeans. See you next month!
