Hello everyone,
As we gear up for the Hell is Us demo (June 2–16), we want to inform you about a technical issue that may affect a small number of players using Intel 13th and 14th Gen CPUs.
🧠 In brief, what’s the Issue?
Some recent Intel CPUs (13th and 14th Gen) are experiencing random crashes in games built with Unreal Engine 5, like Hell is Us. The root cause is a hardware instability known as “Vmin Shift”, triggered by high voltage and heat due to overly aggressive motherboard settings.
Intel has identified the issue and is rolling out a BIOS microcode update (version 0x12B) to fix it. However, this update depends on motherboard manufacturers, so it may not yet be available for all systems.

🎮 Other Major Games Affected
This issue isn’t unique to Hell is Us. Several high-profile games have reported similar problems:
- Remnant 2
- Path of Titans
- Warhammer 40,000: Darktide
- Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
- Dragonkin : The Banished
- Lords of the Fallen
- Black Myth : Wukong
Some studios have even added in-game warnings for players using these CPUs.
🛠️ What Can You Do?
- Update your BIOS to the latest version from your motherboard manufacturer.
- Enable “Intel Baseline” settings in the BIOS if available.
- If you're not comfortable with BIOS updates, we recommend contacting a local technician or your motherboard’s support team.
