Winter Weenerland Preview

But First...
In between all major updates of Everpixel Tactics, I will be releasing "content patches." The stuff that isn't too time-consuming to add (bug fixes, new perks, new gear, etc.) will be added in these patches. If you're on the adventurous side and you want to get your hands on the content patches early, you can check out the Beta branch on Steam. It's already live now, and I'll be pushing regular (unannounced) updates to it until it's ready for release. I've already added a slew of character traits like "suicidal", "maniac", and "pacifist." So if you ever wanted to play as a suicidal maniac orc, here's your chance.
New School of Magic: Cryomancy
'Tis the season! As befits the time of year, the Winter Weenerland update for Everpixel Tactics will add a new school of magic: Cryomancy. Though it will be able to deal damage, the real focus of the Cryomancy school will be in crowd control. Cryomancers will be able to chill enemies (thus reducing their action points.) Cold injuries will also reduce enemies' action points. With these two tricks up their robed sleeves, cryomancers will be able to drastically reduce the capabilities of enemies. And good thing, too, because the Winter Weenerland update will begin featuring some missions with fewer (but much stronger) enemies.
New Feature: Legendary Equipment

The major new feature being introduced in the Winter Weenerland update will be legendary equipment. I will be introducing several new powerful pieces of equipment that will incentivize the player do take on tough quests and missions. The reward, of course, will be legendary equipment with unique affixes that allow even more crazy character and team builds.
A New Apocalypse: The White Winds
There is only currently a single apocalypse that can spawn in the game. I intend to add many more over the course of Everpixel Tactics. And I will - starting with the Winter Weenerland update. The only Apocalypse that can trigger now is an endless stream of undead. The Winter Weenerland "White Winds" apocalypse will similarly feature an endless stream of undead...but with an ice theme! Naturally, there will also be giant penguins, cryomancers, and other assorted pixelated enemies to differentiate it from its less ice-themed cousin.
