Exciting Updates and Improvements Coming to Hotel Architect!
Hello, hoteliers!
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone for your incredible support and valuable feedback on Hotel Architect.
Your input has been instrumental in shaping the direction of the game, and we're happy to share some exciting news: we've already fixed most of the bugs that were reported, and we’re hard at work implementing new features that many of you have requested. But, that’s just the beginning — there’s a lot more to come!
Before we get down to business with what we're working on we'd like to give a quick shoutout to Hotel Architect Discord Member: RafnUnga, who pushed our playtest beyond our expectations and achieved a 5 star critic rating!
Key Improvements:
Here’s a sneak peek at some of the improvements and features you can expect to see in the near future:
- Move Items After Delivery: You’ll soon be able to move items after they’ve been delivered, eliminating the need to delete and repurchase. This should make it much easier to tweak your designs on the fly!
- Improved Cleaning System: We're refining the cleaning and cleanliness management to make it more intuitive and reduce your staff's overall workload. Keeping your hotel sparkling clean should feel smoother than ever.
- Enhanced Zone Warnings: We’re adding different warning icons for zones, making it clearer when something’s missing—like required items, staff assignments, or a dinner menu—so you can resolve issues faster.
- Simplified Item Grouping: Items that come in different variations (like colors or sizes) will be grouped together in the item list, making it easier to find what you need without overwhelming the menu.
- Material Filtering: Decorating just got simpler! You’ll be able to filter materials like wallpapers and flooring into categories such as wood, tile, and stone, giving you more control over your design choices.
- Better Cashflow Breakdown: We’re enhancing the cashflow menu with more detailed categories and a pie chart that lets you hover over sections to see actual amounts, not just percentages—perfect for more precise financial planning.
- Clearer Staff Management: We’re making it more obvious that staff base salary is tied to their level and automatically increases when they level up, so you can manage your budget more effectively.
- Blueprint vs. Built Walls: To avoid confusion, there will be a clearer visual distinction between blueprint walls and built walls with blueprint wallpapers.
- Reverse Capacity Counter: We’re renaming “capacity” to “fullness” (for example, in bins and dumpsters) and flipping the counter to show how close you are to needing a clean-up.
- Important Event Notifications: You’ll now receive clearer notifications when crucial events—like staff resignations—happen, so you won’t miss a beat in managing your hotel.
- More Customization Options: Get ready for more ways to make your hotel unique! We’re adding new wallpapers, floors, and furniture colors, so you can style your spaces exactly the way you want.
These are just a few of the changes you can look forward to, and we’re excited to continue evolving Hotel Architect with your help. If you would like to be notified about future playtests, please sign up here!
