The day we've all been waiting for has come. We are pleased to announce that the first game in the Corsairs Legacy series has officially been released on Steam in Early Access. Now every fan of pirate games can add it to their library.
It is important to note the technical support of the Tech-5 team, which helped prepare the project for release in Early Access and continues to help us adapt Corsairs Legacy for different devices, improve game stability, and implement new features in the game.
We are still testing and polishing the game, but you can already play the first half of the story adventure. The release trailer we posted in December on the channel includes footage only from the part of the adventure that is already available to players. We want to say a few words about the difficulty levels:
Sailor. Designed for those players who have never played a game with naval battles and do not know the difference between cannonballs and chain shots.
Corsair. Designed for those who already understand the game's mechanics, but want to go through the story quickly and without challenges.
Seawolf. A comfortable difficulty level for people who will be looking for better gear for the main character to replace the basic one and want some challenge in getting through the game.
Realistic. On other difficulty levels, we use modifiers in naval battles that offset some of the strengths of enemy ships. On a realistic level, we remove these modifiers. For example, the sloop in the first naval battle with the Spaniards will become much more dangerous.
Separately, we want to note that we have added special gameplay settings, allowing everyone to choose a comfortable play style. For example, the ability to hide the marker indicating where you need to go next. We have also added settings, allowing to change the speed of ships, the speed of reloading guns, and the amount of damage they do. By default, all the stats are set so that naval battles only last a few minutes, but by changing them you can get more tactical and realistic sailing action.
If you'd like to see more settings that will allow you to subtly alter gameplay, email us via the in-game feedback form.
Everyone who wrote to our Support via the form in the game or on the website should have already received an email with an activation code for a digital gift for their activity, which must be entered in-game. You can also join these active users who help us develop Corsairs Legacy. Everyone who joins and gives us feedback through the feedback form in the game or on the website will also receive a digital bonus from the development team.
We remind you that you can show your support for the developers by purchasing the Supporter Pack. As a thank you, we have added a digital Corsairs Legacy artbook, unique cold weapons, a unique set of clothes for the main character, and stylized desktop wallpapers to the Supporter Pack owners.
During the three years we've been working on the game together, our team has constantly moved forward, improving mechanics and graphics with your help. During this time, we have released 25 video diaries, trying to keep you up to date with the development and show you the real state of the project without any embellishments. Today is the day when every fan of pirate games will be able to see the result of our joint work. If you want to support the game, please leave a positive review on Steam after you play it. This way, more players will see the game and it will have a chance to pay off for us. All the money earned will go to the development of the game and the creation of the next bigger pirate adventure.
If you see a bug or have ideas on how to improve the gameplay, write to us directly in the game via the feedback form. We will take every feedback into account, and in the next updates, along with the continuation of Rufus' adventures, we will also improve your game experience.
Your progress will be saved after each update, which will allow you to continue the adventure in the future, after the release of the update with the continuation of the story of Rufus Monroe.
So now, let's get to playing Corsairs Legacy!
