Hi everyone!
I've added a feature that people have been requesting for a little while now:
Users can now optionally disable the scan line visual effect if they feel the visuals are too noisy for them.
Here's the default (scan lines on):
Here's with them disabled:
I didn't intend for this to be the main part of this week's update, but to add this small change I discovered some issues in how I'd been writing my shaders and needed to overhaul a chunk of the system, which ate into a lot of this week but means future additions should be easier in future updates. Cleaning up house isn't the most exciting part of game dev but it's sometimes necessary!
I've also fixed a bug with the escape menu where it was appearing incorrectly due to a mistake I made while transitioning to Unreal's animation system.
Thanks for playing and see you in the next update!
