Hi everyone! This week I'm giving you a performance update!
One of the things that I've been meaning to look at is dealing with performance issues and helping the user get more out of their own machine, so this is the beginning of things that should be useful for lower end machines.
First I've added the ability to disable blood, not because I'm squeamish but because it has frame rate performance gains on low end machines. (if you ARE squeamish then there's a bonus for you!)
The second part is a new feature, the simulation detects when the frame rate has dropped too low for the game to cope and pauses the simulation. Before it simply used to freeze up, so this should be an improvement. If you dislike the feature you can tweak it or set it to 0 to disable it entirely.
Where before there was only an automatic tool for adjusting action cooldowns, now users can manually specify how much they tweak it for performance gains or to speed up their simulations.
The blood + frame rate threshold options are saved in a new config file so that these settings won't have to be resaved every time you open the game.
I hope this helps people who have had trouble running the game and I look forward to your feedback as always!
