Greetings!
The flow of time is a large part of the gameplay in Anvil Saga. In our previous demo, players experienced the day and night cycle that we implemented. Today, we are proud to announce that the seasons will also change in Anvil Saga!
The new mechanic drastically affects resource balance and NPC activities. Let’s take a quick look.
During spring, the peasants are busy sowing fields for new harvests. However, there isn't much food left over from the previous year's supplies. This will not only lead to an influx of peasants, but also much higher food prices.
In summer, Arthur will enjoy the green trees and warm, sunny days – working in the forge is a pleasure. However, summer days can also be too hot and dry, resulting in forest fires that directly contribute to an increase in the cost of wood. Hunters will then avoid the province, and you'll also see a reduction of peasants visiting your forge.

Autumn is the time when new crops are harvested. This may sometimes create an overabundance of vegetables. Peasants will offer to pay you with their bounties, but it's up to you whether to accept them instead of gold.
Winter might look serene and beautiful, but it brings with it many dangers. You could find yourself in the middle of a storm or severe frost span that leaves devastating effects. What are they? Well, you'll have to find out for yourself :)
Furthermore, snow is a harbinger of Christmas, which is also celebrated in the medieval French provinces.
Add Anvil Saga to your Steam Wishlist and keep checking back for all of the latest development news. Something exciting will be unveiled very soon!
Respectfully,
The Anvil Saga Team
