If you want to preserve your save file do not update!
Hey everyone, I have published the latest changes to the default branch now. This release includes some big changes so your old save files will not be compatible with this version. There is no new story added to this release. Mainly, the changes include a new more dynamic farm layout, some new coloring features for your buildings, a Farmer's Market mechanic that's just starting out, lighting system improvements, jumping, and a lot of bug fixes.
Some last minute changes:
- Added a drop down option in the settings to shorten or lengthen the day. The dropdown includes 5 options - shorter, short, medium, long, and longer. If you've played the game before, the setting would have been on 'short'.
- Halved the inventory size - the player inventory was comically huge. I want players to use crates to some extent. Thanks for the feedback.
- Iron mine can only be entered once per day and the amount of iron is toned down a bit.
- New lighting items like the torch, and lanterns will remember their on/off state.
I have to release this update now as I will be going on vacation in a few days and will not be able to update the game for a couple weeks. If there are any major issues please let me know so I can fix them before I go on vacation! While on vacation I'm hoping to get some drawing done so maybe I can add more items or have some better looking sprites when I get back.
Anyways, I'll be visiting some family on my mom's side in Poland so shout out to my one Polish customer! Maybe I'll see you there! Haha, anyways let me know what you think of the update and I'll see you all in a few weeks or so.
