Hello again, wanderers!
Here are the changes and fixes for the new version:
- Changed the way SP is used in combat. Now it can only recover used spirit slots, instead of granting extra slots for huge attacks too early in the game. You can earn additional slots if you find power ups or train for the permanent slot upgrade in the full game.
- Options/pause menu now available for quitting or restarting the episode in the map sections. (Progress is not saved in the demo version).
- Combat word box page scrolling is smoother now.
- Combat word box now shows 1/1 page when there are not enough words for two pages.
- Fixed a softlock in the tutorial where the end turn button wasn’t usable in one specific instance.
- Using a controller and spamming the A button before the first tutorial caused words to not appear.
- Fixed a softlock fighting a boss where the final hit white VFX would get stuck on screen, rendering the rest of the playthrough unplayable.
- Added another possible fix for a softlock mentioned in the previous patch notes: “softlock happening late in the demo where characters fail to show up in combat.”
- Kingjoe enemy now appear with their own names in combat.
- Removed “Exclusive Fullscreen” display mode for causing flickering issues.
- Fixed a small issue in the “Thanks for playing” screen. There was a timer for enabling clicks and button presses that was not removed when the new wishlist and main menu buttons were added.
- Fixed a bug when using the PEACE button while there were words in the spirit slots that interrupted the peace sequence.
- Improved treasure get item randomization when receiving more than one item.
This is a game in active development, and we´re always looking out for more feedback!
