What's good, everyone! Here are the Patch Notes for 0.1.14!
For this month's update, we’ve got a lot to unpack! First and foremost, we’ve listened to your feedback—Butcher needed some training. We’ve reworked many goaltender fundamentals, adding new animations, behaviors, and AI improvements! We’re also excited to introduce the Alpha version of manual goalies for you to try out and provide feedback on, along with the Beta version of the Shootout Mode! Lastly, for those who enjoy the Play Now mode, we’ve added 32 new basic teams to play with! But wait... there’s more! Please note that all the features below are not final. Your feedback is always appreciated to help us continue improving every aspect of the game!
- The goalies' AI and physics have been improved in this patch with new animations, movements, and AI tweaks! We've received a lot of feedback lately regarding instances where goalies would allow frustrating goals, be out of position, or not behave properly. We're not giving up on you—here's what's new with goalies this patch!
- Shot calculation, reaction, positioning, rebound, and recovery control reworked
Goalies now have better reactions to all types of shots and will recover more effectively to rebounds based on where the puck lands
- New goalie animations added, and existing animations polished
New short blocker and glove saves added for when the puck is closer to the body in both standing and butterfly stances. Existing goalie animations have also been polished for better look and performance.
- Standing and butterfly gobble animations added for long and weak shots
- New animations in butterfly state
Goalies can now butterfly push side to side to better position themselves when the puck is closer. This also improves their effectiveness in handling rebounds and recovering from them.
- Goalies will now fetch the puck in the corners if there is no pressure
- Improved butterfly-to-standing animations for smoother transitions
- Blocker saves now launch the puck into the air more frequently, with improved rebound redirection.
- Puck handling animation improvements
-
The alpha version of manual goalies is finally here! Certainly, anyone opting for the manual goalie will be better than Butcher... RIGHT? That said, as this is a work-in-progress, certain features are still missing. Not all AI-controlled goalie saves are available at this time. A locked camera feature is also on the way for future patches to manual goalies. Your feedback is vital to us to ensure we keep progressing in the right direction!
- Now available in Campaign, Play Now & Shootout mode
Switch to the goalie with LB+A (L1+X on PS controllers, R+Up Arrow on Keyboard). You will remain as the goalie until you press the combo again.
- Controls are available for remapping in the Controls Customization menu under Options.
- Available movement/saves at this time
Left+Right Pad save, blocker & glove Left+Right pad to drop into Butterfly - release to stand back up
- The time has come to test your skills in our new Shootout Mode!
Start a shootout match from the Practice Menu. You can choose teams, the number of rounds, power-ups (ON/OFF), and manual goalies (ON/OFF).
Remember: Use backwards skating and puck flipping to your advantage!
- Improved AI on Defense
There were many instances where the AI was mispositioned on defense, and this has been addressed. The AI will now spread out and position properly, creating different shot and play opportunities when entering the offensive zone. This feature is still in development, and we will monitor feedback to continue improving it.
- Improved AI on Offense
Previous updates encouraged the AI on offense to take more lower-quality shots, reducing automatic scoring on nearly every shot. While we’ve seen improvement, we’ve made additional tweaks to their shooting patterns, playmaking, and behaviors when entering the offensive zone. This feature is still in development, and we will continue to monitor feedback to keep improving it.
- The Princesses
The ultimate gatekeeper of Act 3 has received a small nerf. We understand they had an overwhelming set of tools to keep you from reaching the Golfers. With that said, Joan Ozark and Clementine McShaggy have had their abilities removed. But don't take anything for granted—you’re still one fart away from losing the game!
- Added 32 new teams based on professional hockey league cities
Due to popular demand, we've added our own humorous twist to the missing professional team logos and included them in the customizer for you to enjoy! Shoutout to our community member Lastlight for his original work creating the teams and players!

Hope you guys enjoy!
