Greetings, surface dwellers! We bring new tidings from the depths!
Deepest Chamber is set to launch in Early Access a week from now and we must admit that a healthy dose of pre-launch jitters has befallen the team. Luckily, we know just what to do when dealing with such things - pour more work into the game!
Deepest Chamber’s first Early Access build will be both meatier and grittier than the #SteamNextFest Demo version made public last month. Here’s what you can expect on July 22nd:
- Two run types (Salvage & Quest), each with their own unique objectives
- 8 different Chamber types, each with their own mechanics and rewards
- 8 different difficulty levels, each with their own increasingly demanding challenges
- Over 100 cards
- Over 70 Trinkets
- Over a dozen Potions
- Over a dozen Quests
- Dozens of Status Effects (Both Buffs & Debuffs)
- Hundreds of Enemy variations
- 3 Elite Enemies
- 3 End Game Bosses
- Basis for a robust meta-progression system with many unlocks
- Shop & trading system with multiple types of currency (Gold & Blood!)
- ...and a dark and grim story for you to piece together one chamber at a time!
The Launch Price Point for the game will be 12.99 USD or its regional equivalent. This will gradually go up throughout the Early Access phase, so make sure you think about when you want to jump onboard, as the game will get more expensive as new content gets added in.
We're also gonna be throwing in a special 10% discount for launch week.
With that in mind, we plan on catching back up with you all in a couple of weeks, once the dust of launch day has settled. By that point we plan on having a comprehensive Early Access Content Roadmap ready, so that you can keep up with the many content drops scheduled for the next 12 months.
In the meantime, Please consider joining in on the chatter over on our Community Discord Server, as well as follwing us on Twitter for all upcoming news and rat memes.
PS: The devs are doing another livestream today over at Balcony Softworks Official Twitch Channel starting at 11:00 PST /20:00 CET. So jump in and ask them all about launch day and how scary it's gonna be.
See you in the depths!
- Team Deepest Chamber
