Hello everyone!
How about some great news this fine Tuesday? Maybe a couple hours of a free gameplay challenge? Even earlier than originally planned planned and announced, we're bringing the Patron Demo version to all of you!
You're welcome to download it and give it your best shot. It won't bite, we promise (maybe just a little ːsteamhappyː). On our side, we eagerly expect your reactions, feedback and comments – all of them can only help us make the game better by the time development is over.

To make your gameplay as clear as possible, and to make your feedback as valuable as possible, please take the following into consideration:
• The current Patron Demo DOES NOT represent the finished product. We're fully aware of that, and our schedule is still happily populated with things to add or complete. That includes polishing the UI, character animations, character movement system, additional feedback and hints for players, unlocking all maps, sizeable balancing pass, adding remaining visual elements and objects (graveyards, ships etc…), removing all limitations from demo, completing and the expanding social policies system, finishing and unlocking modding support…This version is created because we wanted to introduce our game to all of you, and to get your thoughts on what we're doing. What's completed and available to play right now should provide just a taste of the entire experience that awaits you.
• To emphasize additionally: the social dynamics segment in the current demo is, considering what we have as planned, is in its infancy. The bulk of the underlying work is done, but a lot is still lacking. Hence the alpha demo build
• We plan to periodically update the demo
After the Steam Next Fest event, we're planning to offer some of the volunteers from the community a chance to remain in our betatest program and get access to the full game version „in progress“, as we enter the final stages of production and testing. We are hopeful that the demo will demonstrate Patron's appeal and what it hopes to be at the end of production, but with your active support, these goals could be even greater!

Alongside the demo going public, we will be hosting a couple of livestreams for the first time, so you're all invited to join and see how good (or bad) we are at building up our happy colony.
Lastly, after you've experienced the demo, we look forward to your comments and opinions. You can “spam” us on Steam, or Discord if you prefer a bit more „casual“ approach.
And of course, Overseer Games is a small new team in the big scary world, so if you like the demo, we're totally ok if you recommend it to your friends or feel the urge to press that wishlist button! The more you click it, the better it works!
For any kind of technical support, bug report or good programming jokes, we've opened a new email:
[email protected]
Anyways, that's all folks! Try the demo, have fun and stand by for more news soon!
