Hey everyone, we, a ragtag group of high schoolers and rising college freshman, are proud to announce the full release of our free title, Joyspring!
Joyspring is a 2D story-driven platformer that explores themes of perseverance, hope, and despair. If you're looking for nice pixel art, precision-based platforming, or philosophical (existentialist) dialogue, this is the game! Plus, it's free, and it's short—perfect for a chill afternoon at home.
We hope you enjoy!
To give credit where credit's due, our game was made by Will Liang, Ben Tomlin, Sean Wang, William Peng, Shawn Duan, Colin Zhang, Brian Lee, Alexander Haga, and Calder Jones, with help from the wonderful comments on Godot's forums. Our game was inspired by Celeste, Night in the Woods, and Journey.
